Beach wear for a not hot day in Santa Cruz/Capitola: April

Beach wear for a not hot day in Santa Cruz/Capitola: April

Sunglasses: Quay Australia - High Tea in Tang (I got these on clearance so I am guessing that this style was discontinued)

Romper: Xhiliration from Target

Jacket: Who What Wear Jean Jacket from Target (Tagged in first Style Post)

Shoes: Universal Thread from Target (Tagged in Palm Springs Style Post)

Since we visited the Santa Cruz area in April, we knew it would not be super hot and could almost confirm before arrival that we would not be in a bathing suits. Santa Cruz is the closest thing Northern California has to the Southern California beach so many people find it hot and a vacation to come to this area. But, I know hot weather and Santa Cruz does not provide that. Though others were laying on the beach in their bathing suits, the chill off the ocean and the normal breeze that was blowing definitely overpowered the sun that was shining in that day. I wore a light romper and brought a jean jacket to wear on top. While sitting in the sun, the romper was just fine, but while walking around town I felt I needed the jacket. I would advise anyone visiting this area to bring a sweatshirt to wear on the beach. For me, my legs are always warmer that my arms so I tend to bundle up-top before down-below. The romper I was wearing is from Target but I bought it so long ago I was not able to find it online. The jacket is linked in other posts because I literally wear it constantly, so good for travel!!!

I hope these small tips go a long way in Santa Cruz weather and outfit planning.
