This month we were quite tired and absolutely were due for a beach trip... Did I mention we missed our May trip? ;(
I told my mom we had to be close to the beach this time and closer to town that we usually stay, so we decided to use up all our Hilton Honors points and pay the rest for a nice room. I will say the majority of the price you will be paying is for the location. You are close (closer than I knew) to the Santa Barbara airport and only about a 2 and 1/2 mile drive to UC Santa Barbara and Goleta State Beach. The hotel itself was a pretty basic Hampton Inn with a nice breakfast spread, a considerably comfortable sized room with a nice service staff. I always pick a room with microwave, television and fridge as well and have provided a picture of how most Hampton set their rooms up with these amenities. We arrived a bit early, I believe coming in at 2:15 and they were able to find us a room and accommodate the wait time with free snacks. If one were to pay for this room, I believe it would have been around $250-$300 for a Saturday night stay which is much higher than my mom and I usually go. If you are looking for a great location near a lot of Santa Barbara places, I would recommend this hotel but if you are looking to be more price conscience I would suggest staying more in-land and farther from the "Santa Barbara" name.
I have added a few basic photos of the room, but forgot to take pictures of the breakfast spread.
